I've been turned down by Cambridge. Although it doesn't come to me as too much of a surprise, it's admittedly rather disappointing to have to read a letter that says:

"We have reviewed all our applications and I write with regret to say that we are unable to offer you a place to read Engineering at Trinity or to recommend you for further consideration in the inter-College Pool."

As if they really meant the regret.
